Flowers and a minute of silence: Mykolaiv honored the fallen defenders (men and women)
The ceremony was attended by military personnel, government representatives and city residents
Today, October 1, in Mykolaiv a ceremony was held to honor the fallen defenders of Ukraine. Military personnel, representatives of law enforcement agencies, public organizations and city residents came to the Alley of Remembrance for Fallen Servicemen.
Also participating in the event were:
- Heorhiy Reshetilov — acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration;
- Anton Tabunshchyk — head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council;
- Oleksandr Sienkevych — mayor of Mykolaiv;
- Oleksandr Traytli — deputy head of the Mykolaiv OVA;
- Yurii Granaturov — deputy head of the Mykolaiv OVA.
Attendees honored the fallen with a minute of silence, and then laid flowers at the memorial site. During the ceremony they also expressed support for Ukrainian servicemembers who continue to defend the country.
