Four killed overnight: Russia launched more than 2,200 drones at Ukraine in a week

Over the past week, the forces of Russia launched more than 2,200 strike drones at Ukraine, about 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles of various types. A significant portion of the missiles were ballistic, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported.

As a result of the nighttime attacks people were killed: in the Zaporizhzhia region — three, and in Kyiv — a man killed by a drone strike. The strikes hit residential buildings, energy facilities and other civilian infrastructure in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions.

In the morning Russian forces attacked a data center in Kyiv twice. After the first strike three people were injured, including two children.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine continues to work with international partners to strengthen air defense and diplomatic efforts.

We are constantly working with Europeans, America, Canada, Japan, Australia and other partners to strengthen our defense and real diplomacy. But, unfortunately, there is a lack of a consistently strong position from China and India, Brazil and South Africa, the G20 countries and the Global South. In fact each of these countries has influence over Russia and can help make peace a reality.

The president also linked the security of Ukraine with overall global security and stability.

Building guaranteed, dignified security here in Ukraine means adding security and stability globally. I thank everyone who does not remain on the sidelines and helps Ukraine.
