Rockets hit Mykolaiv's energy sector, KABs strike Halytsynivska community: enemy attacks in the past 24 hours

Russian forces during 28 August and on the morning of 29 August 2026 carried out a combined attack on Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv Oblast, using strike UAVs “Shahed”, cruise missiles “Banderol”, an “Iskander-M” ballistic missile, FPV drones, “Molniya” and two guided aerial bombs.

Port, civilian and energy infrastructure came under attack.

In particular, during 28 August and on the morning of 29 August Russian forces attacked the region with strike UAVs of the “Shahed” type. Targets included port and civilian infrastructure. In Mykolaiv, drone strikes damaged a retail supermarket and a warehouse. A fire broke out at one of the sites, which rescuers extinguished. There were no casualties.

On the evening of 28 August the Russian army attacked Mykolaiv with cruise missiles “Banderol”. An energy infrastructure facility in the city was hit.

The attack damaged the window glazing of three apartment buildings, an administrative building, three garages and one vehicle. No people were injured. State Emergency Service units worked at the impact sites. Due to the danger of repeated attacks, rescuers had to temporarily withdraw personnel to a safe distance, after which they continued the cleanup operations.

Mykolaiv Raion:

The enemy struck an energy infrastructure facility in the raion with an Iskander-M ballistic missile.

In addition, it attacked the Ochakiv community twice with FPV drones. According to the Regional Military Administration, there were no casualties.

Another horror was the report of an airstrike on the Halytsynivska community. On the night of 29 August Russian aviation used against the community two guided aerial bombs. Preliminary information indicates that no civilians were injured as a result of the strike.

In the Bashtanskyi district Russian forces also attacked the Horokhivska community with a UAV of the “Molniya” type. There were also no injuries there.

In just one day Russia used several different types of weapons against Mykolaiv Oblast — “Shahed”, “Banderol”, “Iskander-M”, KABs (guided aerial bombs), “Molniya” and FPV drones. Damage was recorded to civilian and energy facilities; however, as of the morning of 29 August, there are no fatalities or injuries.
