Massive attack on the Mykolaiv region: KABs, Shaheds, Iskanders, "Banderoli"

In the night of September 9, 2026 Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on the Mykolaiv region. The enemy used Shahed-238 strike drones, ballistic missiles «Iskander‑M», «Banderol» rockets and guided aerial bombs.

The consequences of the attacks as of the morning were reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. In Mykolaiv, a 70-year-old woman was killed as a result of the night strike. Four more people were injured — a 74-year-old and a 66-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman and a 15-year-old child. The 66-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition. The other injured received medical assistance and will continue treatment on an outpatient basis.

In the city, transport, port and civilian infrastructure facilities, a shopping center, a postal terminal, a cafe and two private houses were damaged. Four trucks were also damaged, and another was destroyed.

The Mykolaiv district was also under attack. During September 8, Russian forces twice attacked the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities with FPV drones. In the village of Dniprovske a private house was damaged. At night, Russian aviation also struck the Halytsynivka community with a KAB (guided aerial bomb), where industrial infrastructure facilities were damaged.

In the Berezan community, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged after an attack by Shahed-type drones.
