Tractor ran over an explosive device: driver killed in Mykolaiv Oblast

The day before, in a field in Bashtanskyi district, during land works a tractor ran over an unknown explosive device. As a result of the explosion the driver, born in 1995, was killed.

The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established by law enforcement officers.

According to the State Emergency Service (SES), since the beginning of the year in Mykolaiv region 9 incidents have been registered related to the unauthorized handling of explosive devices by local residents. As a result of these incidents 8 people were killed and another 10 people were injured, including 1 child.
