No one in the community of Bashtanskyi Raion was injured
Recently, in one of the communities of Bashtanka district in Mykolaiv Oblast, during earthworks a tractor ran over an unknown object. As a result, there was an explosion and the vehicle caught fire.
Eyewitnesses extinguished the fire themselves. No one was injured.
Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, 110 incidents have been recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast involving the unauthorized handling of explosive ordnance by local residents.
As a result of these incidents, 34 people have died, including two children. 122 people were injured, including 11 children.
Most often, people are blown up in open areas while grazing livestock, performing farm work, or attempting to dismantle munitions.
Unexploded ordnance can remain for years in the ground, on road shoulders, in shelterbelts, in fields, near houses, or inside abandoned structures.
It is especially dangerous to approach sites where rockets and drones have fallen after Russian attacks: fragments can pose a threat.
