Asphalt renewed and storm drains cleaned on Mykolaiv streets, municipal utility reports

On Monday, 21 September, crews of the municipal enterprise “ELU Avtodorih” in Mykolaiv restored the road surface on several streets, leveled some roads with asphalt chippings, cleaned city thoroughfares and serviced the stormwater drainage system.

Within one day the municipal workers removed the damaged layer of pavement and laid new asphalt on the following sections:

• on Privilna Street;
• on 12 Pozdovzhna Street — from Kosmonavtiv Street to Hennadiya Matulyaka Street;
• on Hennadiya Matulyaka Street — from 12 Pozdovzhna Street to Kherson Highway.

At the intersection of Kosmonavtiv Street and Kherson Highway, milling and asphalting were also carried out while lowering the curb. Roads on 1 Kozatska Street and Kotsiubynskoho Street were leveled with asphalt chippings.

They cleaned the carriageways and curb areas of accumulated dirt in two directions:

• Central Avenue — from 3 Slobidska to Sadova Street;
• Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue.

For proper operation of the stormwater system, the crews also performed several maintenance tasks:

• on Central Avenue they replaced the inspection chamber cover of a stormwater inlet;
• on Inzhenerna Street they cleaned the storm drain grate from garbage and dirt;
• on Yevheniya Loginova Street and Pohraichna Street they cleared the stormwater inlet chambers.

Drivers are asked to carefully follow the road signs in areas where heavy machinery is operating.
