A Russian drone damaged the "Prometei" elevator in Mykolaiv

September 9 in the morning a Russian rocket drone hit the production facilities of the Prometey agroholding’s elevator in Mykolaiv. As a result of the attack no one was injured, and the enterprise continued to operate.

The grain storage, grain dryer, storage premises, truck scales and the laboratory were damaged. The agricultural machinery fleet was also affected.

The owner and chairman of the supervisory board of the agroholding, Rafael Horoyan, emphasized that the consequences of the strike for the business are not limited to the destroyed property.

“Today is a very difficult day for us. First of all, I am grateful that all our people are alive. When you receive such news, everything else loses its importance for a while. But then you come to terms with the scale of what happened. War inflicts losses on business that cannot be measured only by the value of destroyed property. Behind that are lost investments, disrupted enterprise operations, the people who come here to work every day, our partners and farmers who rely on us,” said Rafael Horoyan.

The company noted that a reconnaissance drone was recorded over the elevator throughout September 8. They believe this may indicate prior reconnaissance of the facility and that the attack was planned.

Specialists are now documenting the damage and determining the scale of the losses. The enterprise continues to operate.
