Over seven months, the Prosecutor's Office handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine more than UAH 1.5 billion in seized funds, weapons, and equipment
Part of this assistance was provided through plea agreements and voluntary payments during the investigation and trial
In Ukraine, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that during the first 7 months of 2026 the prosecutor’s offices directed property and funds totaling more than 1.5 billion hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces.
According to the head of the Office of the Prosecutor General, this resource was formed primarily from funds and property seized in criminal proceedings, as well as from property and money handed over by suspects and defendants as a result of plea agreements.
Part of the receipts consists of amounts that participants in the proceedings voluntarily transferred during the pre-trial investigation and during the trial in order to be taken into account as mitigating circumstances.
By the end of the period, assistance for the Defense Forces was distributed as follows.
- 820 million hryvnias — in cash.
- 535 million hryvnias — necessary property.
- 116 million hryvnias — in weapons.
- 85 million hryvnias — vehicles and motorcycles.
- 3.1 million hryvnias — fuel and lubricants.
The Prosecutor General’s Office emphasizes that this is not merely formal statistics: the transferred funds and property are already being used in combat operations, increase the mobility of units, and help quickly cover urgent needs.
Kravchenko also stressed that support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces remains one of the prosecutor’s key priorities, and the office will continue to use the tools provided by law to direct available resources to strengthening Ukraine’s defense.
