New cooling frames with fine water mist, which help passersby cope with the heat, have appeared in Mykolaiv this week, the city’s mayor O. Senkevych reported on the installation of additional “misters.”
New cooling points have been installed at four addresses:
- Khersonske Highway, 32 (children’s playground),
- the intersection of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue and Korabeliv Avenue,
- in the Inhulskyi District administration building,
- and also at the intersection of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue and Petukhova Street.
Similar frames were previously installed in popular recreation spots: Kazka Park, the Upper Embankment, the “Heart of the City” square, Chestnut Square, and on the pedestrian Soborna Street.
The city authorities emphasize that the network of cooling frames is planned to be expanded across various districts of Mykolaiv, so that residents can cool off and endure periods of extreme heat more safely.
