Men defend the country, while their entrepreneur wives sit without electricity: Zadyrko appealed to Kim
Entrepreneurs from military families in Kulybakine were left without power
Advisor to the Mykolaiv city mayor on veterans’ affairs, former MP and serviceman Gennadiy Zadyrko August 4, 2026 published a public appeal to a deputy of the Mykolaiv City Council, the former head of the Mykolaiv OVA and Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs Vitaliy Kim.
According to Zadyrko, August 3 the regional power company cut electricity to entrepreneurs operating in the Mykolaiv neighborhood of Kulbakine. He claims that among them are the wives of the deceased, prisoners and serving servicemen. Zadyrko said the disconnection was due to the Mykolaiv City Council deputies not supporting the extension of the servitude agreement.
“For the second day I cannot find peace, because I am ashamed before the memory of a fallen comrade,” – wrote Zadyrko.
He called on Vitaliy Kim to intervene and help find a comprehensive solution to the problem.
“Putting out fires is not about a systemic approach,” – emphasized the author of the appeal.
Separately, Zadyrko recalled another Facebook post that allegedly concerned connecting mobile cafes to the power grid without a lease agreement. According to him, the person mentioned in the post has a surname similar to Kim’s. At the same time, Zadyrko did not name this person, did not report any possible connection to the minister, and did not provide documentary evidence for the information presented.
As of the time this piece was prepared, public comments from Vitaliy Kim, the Mykolaiv City Council and the regional power company regarding Zadyrko‘s statement had not been published. The circumstances of the disconnection and the information about the non-extension of the servitude require official confirmation.
