Night KAB strike on Mykolaiv region: a mother and her 15-year-old daughter killed under the rubble

On the night of July 8, 2026, Russian forces attacked the Bashtanskyi district, reportedly using guided aerial bombs. In the Horokhivska community a strike killed a 38-year-old woman and her 15-year-old daughter. Another daughter of the deceased — a 13-year-old girl — was wounded. In another settlement of the community a 39-year-old woman was injured. Both wounded were hospitalized. As of the morning, their condition was assessed as severe but stable.
According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast, rescuers pulled the bodies of the deceased from under the rubble. Before the arrival of units, local residents themselves extracted two injured people from the debris.
The attack damaged 20 private residential houses, a school building and a power line. Some consumers were left without electricity.
Also, on July 7 the enemy struck Ochakiv with a Shahed/«Gerbera» type drone. In the city the windows of an apartment building and a car were damaged. No one was injured. Russian forces attacked the Kutsurubska community with a Molniya-type drone. According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, there are no casualties.
