A 62-year-old BMW driver crashed into a parked Kia; a 75-year-old woman has been hospitalized
A 62-year-old man was at the wheel of the BMW and, while driving along the street, collided with a parked Kia Carens
In Mykolaiv on Hlib Babych Street July 4 around 13:00 the driver of a BMW crashed into a parked Kia Carens, as a result a 75-year-old passenger of the car was injured and hospitalized, and the police are investigating the details of the incident.
The regional police reported the incident.
According to preliminary information, the BMW was driven by a 62-year-old man who, while driving along the street, collided with the parked Kia Carens.
The passenger of the Kia Carens, a 75-year-old woman, sustained bodily injuries; she was taken to a medical facility, where she is currently under medical supervision.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all circumstances and causes of the crash, and investigators have qualified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules, which provides for punishment of up to 3 years’ restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive.
The police appeal to witnesses or drivers with dashcam recordings and ask to report any information by phone at 093 429 91 63 or 102.
