Mykolaiv Lyceum named after Oleh Olzhych, located in the Korabelnyi District, announced sad news: on June 10, 2026 longtime educator Natalia Andriivna Bieloyedova passed away, having devoted her entire life to her native “First School”.

The lyceum posted about the loss on its Facebook page on June 12.

At the educational institution, Natalia Andriivna Bieloyedova is remembered as a radiant person, a strong educator and a Teacher with a capital T, known and remembered by more than one generation of students.

The lyceum staff, on the day of farewell, recalled her life path, her love for the school and the students:

“Olzhych Lyceum is in mourning. Today we held our breath and quieted our steps to hear the last passage of the radiant person Natalia Andriivna Bieloyedova, who passed away on June 10, 2026, having devoted her whole life to her native First School… Her powerful voice stood out among others, and the click of her heels announced that the teacher would soon enter the classroom.

Natalia Andriivna seemed never indifferent to anyone, and, as Hanna Stroinova recalls, she taught more than one generation of our children, loved her students very much, sincerely took pride in her graduates and rejoiced at the successes of those already grown, but always her boys and girls. Her upright posture was recognizable, and

Natalia Chernega recalls that she and Natalia Andriivna Bieloyedova worked together from the very opening of the institution. She was not only a highly professional educator, but also a sincere, kind and compassionate person who always supported and helped. Her love for children, devotion to her work and ability to find an approach to each student will remain in our memory forever…

The lyceum looked through its windows at the neighboring yard, where relatives gathered to see off the Teacher who had trodden the path to the school threshold, and when she retired, long and sadly looked at the road she had walked for more than 30 years… Thus they kept looking at each other — the Teacher and the School, and now, bereft, our lyceum felt how losses change us”.

Former pupils, colleagues and acquaintances of Natalia Andriivna Bieloyedova also expressed their condolences. Former student Anna Yeryomina wrote that the educator was not just a teacher, but a person with a big heart.

“With deep sadness I received the news of the passing of our dear teacher. She was not just an educator, but a person with a big heart who gave us knowledge, care, kindness and belief in ourselves. For many students she became a second mother — always attentive, wise, sincere and fair. Her professionalism, boundless dedication to her work and love for children will remain forever in our hearts. She knew how to find an approach to each child, to support, inspire and teach not only school subjects but also humanity, kindness and respect. The bright memory of this wonderful person will live in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. I offer my sincere condolences to the family, relatives and all who share this pain of loss. Your warm voice and the words with which you greeted me will remain forever in my memory: “Good day, Hanusya, my little hostess!” In those simple words there was so much kindness, warmth, care and love. Today it is especially painful to realize that I will no longer hear that greeting. But it will forever remain in my heart as a bright memory of you — a kind, sincere and dear person”.

“Indeed, the click of Natalia Andriivna’s heels could be heard from the other end of the corridor; she was very devoted to her work — it is very sad, we hope she is now in a better place…”, — recalled Yuliya Serbulova the special atmosphere that always accompanied Natalia Andriivna’s appearance in the school corridor.
