In Luxembourg on 15 June two separate intergovernmental conferences are to be held, at which the European Union plans to open the first negotiating cluster “Foundations” for Ukraine and Moldova.
The publication “European Pravda” reports on the preparations for these events, citing EU sources that informed about the ongoing coordination of positions among member states at this link.
Interlocutors clarify that a separate conference will be held for each country, and meanwhile preparatory work continues in Brussels at the level of thematic working groups and the ambassadors of EU member states.
Next week the EU plans to agree on a common negotiating position regarding the first cluster for Ukraine and Moldova, in order to begin the substantive phase of discussions on this part of the package.
