Emergency braking of a trolleybus after a dangerous maneuver by a car in Mykolaiv: two passengers injured
The driver of the car created a dangerous situation for the trolleybus and fled the scene
In Mykolaiv, during the movement of a trolleybus, an emergency situation occurred involving a passenger car. As a result of the incident, two passengers of the public transport were injured. This was reported on May 12, 2026 by КП ММР “Миколаївелектротранс”.
According to the company, the driver of the passenger car made a dangerous maneuver and created an emergency situation on the road. To avoid a collision or more serious consequences, the trolleybus driver was forced to apply emergency braking. Due to the abrupt stop, people were injured two people. An ambulance crew was called to the scene, which hospitalized the injured for further examination.
Due to the processing of the incident and providing assistance to passengers the trolleybus was delayed. Other passengers had to wait for another vehicle to continue their journey. In addition, the incident caused delays and disruptions to the trolleybus schedules. At present, investigative actions are being carried out regarding the incident, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
At “Mykolaivelektrotrans” they urged all road users to be attentive, follow the rules and respect one another on the city’s roads. The company also thanked the police for their prompt response and for beginning the search for the offending driver.
