The average salary in the Mykolaiv region rose to 27.9 thousand UAH
The indicator is 8.2% below the average for Ukraine; wage arrears rose to UAH 46 million, almost half of which is in the Mykolaiv district
In March 2026 the average nominal salary of employees on the payroll of enterprises, institutions and organizations with a staff of at least 10 people in Mykolaiv Oblast amounted to 27 868 UAH, which is 8.2% lower than the national average — 30 300 UAH, the Main Department of Statistics of Mykolaiv Oblast reported.
The dynamics indicate a significant increase: compared with February payroll accruals rose by 12.6%, and on a year‑on‑year basis wages increased by 24.3%.
The highest payments were recorded in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning — on average 66 210 UAH, while the lowest were in mining and quarrying, where they paid 11 682 UAH.
As of April 1 the total amount of wage arrears amounted to 46 million UAH, which is 6% more compared with the previous month.
By debt structure, the lion’s share falls on industrial enterprises — 57.2% — and agriculture — 42.1%, and territorially almost half of the arrears are concentrated at enterprises of Mykolaiv District — 47.2%.
Overall employers have not settled with 724 employees; the average unpaid amount per person is 63.6 thousand UAH.
