Dust, dirt and responsibility "between the authorities": in Korabelnyi residents pointed to a neglected stretch of the avenue

A resident of Mykolaiv under the nickname Max Korabelny on May 6, 2026 addressed the Contact Center at the Mykolaiv City Council about the condition of the road on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue in the Korabelnyi district.

This concerns the section in the area of house No. 338. The photos show that dust, soil and dirt have accumulated along the roadway, and the edge of the curb is in places practically lost under layers of earth. For one of the main arteries of the district, this appearance, to put it mildly, does not give the impression of proper maintenance. The Mykolaiv resident in his appeal asked the city leadership to clean the area and separately raised the question of responsibility, hinting at situations when problems on city roads may be shifted between different levels of government.

“Dear city leadership, Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue in the area of house 338, dust and dirt on the road that have not been cleaned for a long time, the curb is no longer visible. Please clean it. Is this also within the responsibility of the regional authorities as at the PGU?”

The Operational Response Service of the Contact Center at the Mykolaiv City Council reacted to the appeal quite quickly – within approximately one hour. In the response they reported that the complaint was registered under number 66492 and thanked for the concern for the city.

The problem of street cleaning for the Korabelnyi district is not new. As early as September 24, 2025 the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council approved a list of streets where mechanized cleaning should operate; among the routes in the district were, in particular, sections related to Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue.

Now residents of the district expect not only the registration of the appeal under number 66492, but also the actual cleaning of the area near Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue, 338. Because when the curb already “disappears” under the dirt, the issue of maintenance becomes not a formality, but a daily problem for those who walk and drive along this road.
