The regional military administration reported on enemy attacks by Russian forces on the Mykolaiv region over the past day, as of the morning of 1 May 2026:
30 April during the day the enemy attacked the region with UAVs of the «Shahed» type. Energy and critical infrastructure were hit. Power crews are currently working around the clock on restoration.
As a result of the attack and falling debris, three people were injured in Mykolaiv. A 35-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized. As of the morning the victim’s condition is stable without deterioration. Two women also suffered an acute stress reaction – they were given medical assistance on site.
In the regional center over the past day five multi-storey residential buildings were damaged, two private houses, and six vehicles. Several fires broke out, which were promptly extinguished by rescuers, – said the OVA in this morning’s briefing.
“Rescuers in Mykolaiv extinguished fires at energy facilities and in the residential sector caused by UAV attacks and falling debris.
The roof of a five-storey building and of a single-storey private house caught fire. DSNS units were involved in dealing with the aftermath: rescuers, chemical specialists and pyrotechnicians. Extinguishing the fires was complicated by repeated shelling.
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Rapid Response Unit and the city’s emergency services also worked on site”, – added the DSNS.
