On the grounds of a kindergarten in the Mykolaiv region, a component of a cluster munition was found: sappers detonated it on site
A message was received from a resident of the Shevchenkivska community; due to damage, it was impossible to transport the munition
On the grounds of a non-operating kindergarten near one of the villages in Mykolaiv district, a dangerous object was discovered, which explosive ordnance disposal specialists destroyed on site thanks to the vigilance of local residents; the regional police reported the incident.
According to law enforcement, a resident of the Shevchenkivska community contacted the police and reported a suspicious find on the grounds of the closed preschool.
Explosive ordnance disposal specialists immediately arrived at the facility. During the inspection they determined that the discovered object was a cluster munition submunition.
Due to the damaged condition of the ordnance and the increased risk of transporting it, specialists decided to destroy it on site. The detonation was carried out in a controlled manner in compliance with all safety requirements.
Law enforcement stresses the need for maximum caution: explosive finds pose a deadly threat. If suspicious objects are found, do not approach or touch them, move to a safe distance and immediately inform emergency services.
