The HACC Appeals Chamber on November 5, 2026 upheld the decision to confiscate two cars belonging to the family of a former head of one of the district territorial recruitment and social support centers in Odesa Oblast. The cars are worth almost 2 million hryvnias in total.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), the cars were purchased by close relatives of the former official. At the same time, he may have exercised direct or indirect control over the property. The family did not have enough legal income to make such purchases.

The confiscation covers the following cars:

  • a 2022 Toyota C-HR Hybrid, valued at more than 1.38 million hryvnias;
  • a 2021 Toyota C-HR, valued at almost 565,000 hryvnias.

The lawsuit seeking to have the assets declared unjustified and confiscated in favor of the state was based on materials from the SBI and evidence gathered by a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The court of first instance issued its decision on April 3, 2026. The Appeals Chamber upheld it, and it entered into force upon its pronouncement.
