Heating all facilities in Mykolaiv may take up to 10 days. The 2026–2027 season began yesterday, November 3: Mykolaivoblteploenergo is bringing boiler houses online and gradually directing heating water to residential buildings.

The utility explains that it is impossible to start the entire system at once because the process is technically complex. Boiler houses are therefore switched on in stages, while specialists work around the clock to ensure they operate reliably.

At the same time, supplying heating water to a building and operating its heating system are the responsibility of different organizations:

the heating utility ensures that heating water reaches the building’s heating unit;
the organizations responsible for maintaining the building — property management companies, housing maintenance offices, and condominium associations — are responsible for the condition and adjustment of the building’s internal heating system.

The timely and even supply of heat to apartments depends on how well the internal networks have been prepared. That is why the pipes and equipment inside the building need to be prepared for the season in advance.

If, after heating is switched on, the radiators in an apartment remain cold or some of them fail to heat up, residents are advised to first contact their property management company, housing maintenance office, or condominium association chair.

If their request is ignored or the fault is not fixed, residents can report the problem to the Mykolaiv City Council Contact Center.
