An enemy mine lay on a dirt road in the Mykolaiv region
Near Snihurivka, the ammunition was destroyed on site: transporting it was prohibited
Local residents discovered an enemy mine on the roadway of a dirt track near Snihurivka in Mykolaiv Oblast. They spotted the munition near a field and reported the find to law enforcement.
Experts from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit of the regional police headquarters arrived to inspect the dangerous object. The inspection showed that the mine posed a serious threat and that transporting it was strictly prohibited.
For this reason, the bomb disposal experts decided to destroy it at the site where it was found. The mine was detonated in a controlled manner, with all necessary safety precautions in place.
Police urge residents to be cautious, especially in de-occupied areas and places where fighting has taken place. If you find an explosive device or an object that looks like one, you should:
- Immediately call 101 or 102 and report the find.
- Do not approach or touch the object, move it, or try to dismantle it.
- Do not allow anyone else to approach the dangerous object.
- Stay calm and wait for the experts at a safe distance.
