Food was delivered to Beryslav by drones: it’s almost impossible to drive into the city
570 kilograms of food were delivered to local residents
Residents of Beryslav in Kherson Oblast, who remain in the city despite constant Russian attacks, have received 570 kilograms of food delivered by drones. The operation was reported on October 8, 2026, by Kherson Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, around 300 people are currently in the city, including two children. Russian forces regularly shell Beryslav, making it practically impossible to enter or leave the city because of the danger.
“To help them survive, we carried out an operation with our military to deliver food using drones,” said Oleksandr Prokudin.
The food was delivered by fighters from the “Bolharychi” unit of the 11th National Guard Brigade.
Drones have also been used to help people in temporarily occupied Oleshky:
- Recently, service members of the 11th Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine evacuated six cats from the city. The animals were transported across the Dnipro River by a heavy drone.
- Before that evacuation, Ukrainian military personnel delivered nearly 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid by drone to the left bank of the Dnipro River for residents of occupied Oleshky. The cargo included food, medicine, and children’s kits.
- In September 2026, the military also delivered around 4 tonnes of food by drone to residents of occupied Oleshky, distributing the aid among 100 designated locations.
