A homeowner suffered burns while extinguishing a fire: State Emergency Service report for the day in Mykolaiv Oblast
A man was admitted to the burn unit in Kozyrka
Over the past day, State Emergency Service units extinguished 13 fires in Mykolaiv region. In the village of Kozyrka, the owner of a house suffered burns while trying to put out the fire himself. Rescuers reported these and other incidents in a briefing published on October 7, 2026.
A house was on fire in the Radisnyi Sad community of Mykolaiv district. The injured owner, a man born in 1967, was taken by medical personnel to a burn unit. After arriving, rescuers extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 40 sq. m.
The previous day, Russian forces continued attacking the region with strike UAVs. These attacks caused three fires, which firefighters extinguished. No one was injured in these incidents.
Firefighters also extinguished a separate fire at a facility in Mykolaiv, covering an area of 150 sq. m.
Another three minor fires broke out in residential areas:
- in the Vradiivka community of Pervomaiskyi district;
- in the Chornomorsk community of Mykolaiv district;
- in the city of Nova Odesa.
Firefighters also extinguished fires involving dry grass and rubbish in open areas. Firefighting operations took place:
- in the Chornomorsk community of Mykolaiv district;
- in the Sukhoielanets community of Mykolaiv district;
- in the Kobleve community of Mykolaiv district;
- in the Myhiia community of Pervomaiskyi district;
- in Mykolaiv.
More than 50 State Emergency Service personnel, 13 vehicles, and local fire brigades were involved in extinguishing the fires. The causes are being determined.
