A minibus hit a woman in Mykolaiv: she was taken to the hospital
According to preliminary reports, the woman was crossing the road at the crosswalk
On the evening of September 30, at approximately 17:45, on Troitska Street in Mykolaiv, a Mercedes Sprinter minibus ran over a woman who was crossing the roadway. The 62-year-old pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
As reported by the Mykolaiv Region Police, the minibus was driven by a 63-year-old man. According to preliminary information, the woman was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. The circumstances of the accident are still being clarified.
Investigators preliminarily classified the incident under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons who drive vehicles. According to the police, the sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for the same period.
The Department for the Investigation of Transport-Related Crimes of the Investigative Directorate asks anyone with any information about the circumstances of this accident to contact 063 785 0420 or 102.
