In Mykolaiv, schoolchildren planted 93 trees for the "Alley of the Future"
Six educational institutions participated in the greening
In the Zavodskyi District of Mykolaiv, students and teachers from six educational institutions planted a total of 93 trees as part of the initiative «Alley of the Future».
Participating in the planting were:
- Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 22 — 8 Pisardi plum trees;
- Lyceum No. 34 — 5 trees;
- Lyceum No. 55 — 20 trees;
- Lyceum named after Professor M. Aleksandrov — 5 trees;
- Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 25 — 25 trees;
- Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 52 — 30 pines.
The initiative provides that graduates plant trees in memory of their school years, and younger pupils will later care for them and observe how the trees grow alongside them.
During the presentation, it was noted that green plantings purify the air, provide shade, reduce dust levels, and help form a comfortable urban environment.
In the Zavodskyi District, organizers want to involve more educational institutions in the initiative and eventually make the «Alley of the Future» an annual city-wide tradition of Mykolaiv.
