45 fires in 24 hours: in the Mykolaiv region the total area affected exceeded 21 hectares
Six fires occurred in the residential sector
24 August and during the night of 25 August in the Mykolaiv region there were 45 fires. Of these, 6 occurred in the residential sector.
Apartments, residential and farm buildings, and a balcony burned. The remaining fires mainly occurred in open areas — dry grass, shrubs, post-harvest residues and trash were burning.
In the village of Dobrozhanyvka of the Vradiivka community, a dry grass fire was caused by careless handling of fire. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the offender under Article 175 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (КУпАП).
The total area of the fires exceeded 21 hectares. Rescuers saved from destruction 2 residential houses, an outbuilding and a summer kitchen.
