More than 27 hectares burned in the Mykolaiv region: the fire damaged farm buildings
Rescuers defended three residential buildings from destruction
23 August and during the night of 24 August 38 fires were recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast. The total burned area exceeded 27 hectares.
In the Bashtanskyi district in the village Stantsiine of the Novobuzh community, a garage on the premises of a private household caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire over an area of 8 sq. m.
In the village of Maiorivka of the Sofiivska community, a passenger car VAZ-2107-20 burned. The burned area was 5 sq. m.
Almost all other incidents were related to the burning of dry vegetation, shrubs, crop residues and garbage. Fires occurred both in open areas and within residential sectors.
In Mykolaiv, as a result of dry grass fires, the blaze damaged 2 outbuildings. At the same time, firefighters were able to save 3 residential houses from destruction.
Units of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv Oblast responded to all calls. Local fire service firefighters also helped with the extinguishing.
