In Mykolaiv Oblast, 47 fires were recorded in 24 hours: the total area exceeded 30 hectares

16 August and in the night before the 17th 47 fires were recorded in the Mykolaiv region. One of them occurred in the residential sector — in the village of Chornomorka of the Chornomorska community in Mykolaiv district a garage with hay and stacks of straw on a private yard caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire over an area of 50 sq. m.

Other incidents were ignitions of dry grass, shrubs, crop residues, and garbage on open areas and within the residential sector. Most occurred in Mykolaiv district — 15 cases, 10 each in Bashtanskyi and Voznesenskyi districts, 5 in Pervomaiskyi and 6 in the city of Mykolaiv.

The total area of the fires — over 30 hectares.

Units of the State Emergency Service responded to all reports. Local fire protection crews assisted in extinguishing the fires.
