In Mykolaiv’s Korabelnyi District, land was allocated for a modular settlement for internally displaced persons

Today, August 6, during a session of the Mykolaiv City Council deputies approved a decision to grant the Department of Municipal Services permission to develop a land management project to allocate a land plot where a modular settlement for internally displaced persons is planned.

The decision concerns five land plots with a total approximate area of 3250 sq. m in the Korabelnyi district of the city. After the land management project is developed they will be transferred for permanent use to implement the housing construction project.

Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych noted that the housing construction program for internally displaced persons is already being implemented in communities across Mykolaiv Oblast, and now Mykolaiv is joining it.

“This program is already being implemented in Mykolaiv Oblast. In Mykolaiv we also worked through the issue of allocating a land plot. After the houses are completed, together with the council we will decide exactly who to transfer them to for management. Thanks to the members of the land commission who promptly reviewed and approved the document,” — said Oleksandr Senkevych.

After all necessary land procedures are completed, the city will move to the next stage of the project’s implementation. Its goal is to provide modern temporary housing to people who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.
