The animal's female owner faces a fine and confiscation of the dog
After the publication of the story about a dog attack on a man in Mykolaiv, the police press service reported the results of the investigation. Law enforcement officers drew up an administrative protocol against the animal’s owner, and the collected materials are planned to be forwarded to court.
The incident occurred on July 30. The Police Department No. 1 of the Mykolaiv District Police received a report of a dog attack on a man.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, a verbal conflict arose in the residence between the man and his ex-wife. The victim stated that during the argument the woman set the dog on him.
As a result of the attack, the man sustained bodily injuries. Earlier his wife told the editorial office that the animal attacked after the command “Kokos, take”, and the victim had to seek medical attention.
Police questioned the participants in the incident and drew up an administrative protocol against the dog owner for violating animal-keeping rules that led to harm to a person’s health.
The materials were drawn up under part 3 of Article 154 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

The collected documents are to be sent to the court, which will make the final decision. The dog owner faces a fine and confiscation of the animal.
At the same time, the police did not open a criminal case concerning the incident. Previously, law enforcement told the editorial office that they did not see signs of a criminal offense in the attack.
