In Mykolaiv, the SBU detained three sellers of fake passports for draft evaders: they were preparing more than 150 forgeries

In Mykolaiv, officers of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kyiv detained three local residents during a special operation, who are suspected of organizing the sale of forged documents for individuals liable for military service.

According to the investigation, the group organized the production and sale of fake passports and driver’s licenses issued in the names of citizens of one of the South Caucasus countries, which clients planned to present during document checks by employees of military recruitment centers (TCC) and law enforcement agencies.

To reduce the risk of exposure, finished forgeries were sent to customers via postal services, and payments were accepted to bank accounts, avoiding personal contacts with buyers as much as possible.

Law enforcement officers documented the preparation for the distribution of more than 150 forged documents intended for illegal use by individuals liable for military service.

All circumstances of the illegal activity and those involved are currently being established, and investigative actions are ongoing.
