In Mykolaiv, a combined attack killed a man: nine injured
Among the injured is a resident of the Halytsynivska community
On July 28 Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Mykolaiv and the settlements of the Mykolaiv district.
As a result of the shelling, a 74-year-old resident of Mykolaiv was killed. An 86-year-old resident of the Halytsynivska community and another 8 residents of various neighborhoods of the regional center aged from 20 to 76 years were injured.
In the city, private-sector houses, apartment buildings, garages of an auto-garage cooperative, warehouse premises and vehicles were damaged. Fires that broke out after the strikes were extinguished by rescuers.
At the sites, investigators from the department for investigating crimes committed in the context of armed conflict, investigative-operational teams from the police units of the Mykolaiv District Department, specialists from the explosive ordnance disposal unit of the regional police headquarters and other specialized services were working.
Law enforcement documented the consequences of war crimes, collected material evidence and recorded the damage. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
