To clients — by taxi: a man in the Mykolaiv region sold PVP

In the Pervomaiskyi district of Mykolaiv region, a 41-year-old resident of the Kirovohrad region has been notified of suspicion of illegal acquisition, possession and sale of psychotropic substances, committed repeatedly.

According to the investigation, the man traveled to one of the settlements of the Kryvoozerska community to personally sell the psychotropic substance PVP among acquaintances.

As the police reported, the suspect sought buyers among his circle of acquaintances, arranged meetings with them by phone and came by taxi. According to the investigation, he handed over the psychotropics personally.

The man, according to law enforcement, received payment for the sold goods by cashless transfers through a mobile banking app.

Immediately after another sale of psychotropics, the suspect was detained in procedural order in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the police said.

At the scene, police seized a mobile phone. According to the police, it contains information that the investigation considers evidence in the case.

Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Field of Defense of the Southern Region, notified the detainee of suspicion on two counts of a criminal offense provided for by Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The penalty under this article provides for up to ten years imprisonment with confiscation of property. A court is expected to decide a preventive measure for the suspect in the near future.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the channels through which the psychotropic substances reached the suspect. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
