Kilometers of new pipes and dozens of projects: "Mykolaivvodokanal" summed up its quarterly results
The enterprise is upgrading its laboratory and purchasing tools for emergency crews
At the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivvodokanal” they summed up the results of work for the second quarter of 2026. The company itself replaced 4.3 kilometers of water supply networks, purchased new equipment and continues implementing more than 40 infrastructure projects.
This was reported on July 17, 2026 reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.
The results were discussed by the company director Hennadiy Izyumov during a scheduled meeting with the workforce.
Currently the water utility cooperates with more than 10 international partners. Within joint projects they are renewing networks, technical equipment and other enterprise infrastructure.
Technological maps have been introduced to make repairs safer and more efficient. Emergency crews received new tools, and modern equipment was purchased for the laboratory.
The enterprise is also implementing video surveillance systems and key performance indicators – KPI – for managers.
The city council also stressed that “Mykolaivvodokanal” pays salaries on time and has no wage arrears to employees.

During the open part of the meeting the staff raised questions about the quality of components, further development of the laboratory, updating the technical base and the rational use of resources. The voiced problems and proposals were taken into work, and responsible managers were instructed to process them promptly.
At the same time the company continues to operate with a significantly worn-out water supply system. In particular, in the Korabelnyi district a reconstruction project of almost 39 kilometers of networks is being carried out, where they plan to replace failing pipes and introduce automated leak detection.
Earlier at a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council it was reported that about 40% of water is lost in the city networks, and the enterprise had no proper internal audit system or regular reporting for years.
