Crashed into a guardrail: police in Mykolaiv region rescued a motorcyclist

On highway R-55 “Novyi Buh – Voznesensk – Odesa” police provided emergency assistance to a motorcyclist who suffered serious injuries in a road traffic accident.

As reported on 13 July, 2026, by the Mykolaiv Oblast police, the motorcycle rider hit a pothole, lost control and crashed into a guardrail.

Concerned bystanders called medics and law enforcement.

Upon arrival, inspectors from the response patrol sector of the Voznesensk District Police Department found the victim had broken ribs and an open pneumothorax.

Police applied an occlusive dressing to the chest wound, monitored the man’s condition and supported him until the emergency medical team arrived.

Thanks to the timely actions of the officers, the motorcyclist’s life was saved. He is now in hospital.
