Russia is preparing a new massive strike: Zelensky urged Ukrainians not to ignore air raid alerts

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky July 5, 2026 reported that Ukrainian intelligence has again received information about Russia preparing a new massive strike. The head of state urged people to take care of themselves and to always respond to air-raid warnings. He published the statement on his official page.

“There is again intelligence indicating that the Russians are preparing a new massive strike. This is in Putin’s style — immediately after America’s Independence Day and before the NATO summit in Ankara. Russia wants to do more harm and kill people. Please, take care of yourselves and pay attention to air-raid warning signals”.

Separately, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed international partners, emphasizing that delays in supplying missiles for air defense systems lead to new casualties and encourage Russia to continue the war.

“Separately — for partners: any delay with missiles for our air defenses, with missiles for the Patriots — is a loss of life, and it encourages Russia to keep fighting. The world has the necessary quantity and quality of air defenses — what is needed are your decisions so there is real protection of life in Ukraine. And above all, of course, it is the decision of America, the decisions of the strong in Europe and in the world. Please be active in your decisions and protect lives. Missiles for the Patriots are needed not in warehouses now, but in Patriot divisions, in Ukraine. Thank you to those who are really helping. Glory to Ukraine!”.
