One killed and four injured: the aftermath of Russian attacks in Mykolaiv region
Shahed drones, MLRS, "Molniya" and FPV drones: the enemy attacked Mykolaiv and communities in the region
As a result of Russian attacks on the Mykolaiv region a 66-year-old man was killed and four other people were injured. The enemy used Shahed, “Molniya” and FPV drones, and reportedly multiple-launch rocket systems. The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported the consequences of the attacks as of the morning of 2 July 2026.
During 1 July the enemy attacked the region with Shahed drones. In Nova Odesa the strike hit the territory of an agricultural enterprise. A 66-year-old truck driver was killed. Three other men aged 25, 42 and 50 were wounded. They were hospitalized. As of the morning their condition was assessed as moderate. As a result of the attack warehouse buildings and a cargo truck were damaged, and a fire broke out.
- In Pervomaisk a garage was damaged. There were no casualties.
- During the day Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv with an FPV drone. No one was injured.
- At night Molniya-type drones attacked the Snihurivka community of Bashtanka district. Energy and critical infrastructure facilities were hit. There were no casualties.
- In Mykolaiv district the enemy attacked three times with Molniya-type drones and three times with FPV drones the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities.
- In addition, Russian forces twice carried out strikes, reportedly from MLRS, on the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.
- In the early hours of 2 July a Molniya strike drone attacked the Halytsynivka community. In the village Lupareve a 66-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. She was given assistance on site. The strike damaged the roof of a private house.
