Hot days and nights: tropical nights are forecast in the Mykolaiv region

Throughout Mykolaiv Oblast over the next week, air temperatures at night will not fall below +20°C.

This was reported on 25 June 2026 by the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology.

In meteorology this phenomenon is called a tropical night. The term means that the minimum air temperature during the night remains above +20°C.

Tropical nights are a sign of persistent hot weather and place an additional heat burden on the body, since even after sunset the air does not cool down sufficiently.

Residents of the region are advised to protect their health, maintain proper hydration and avoid overheating.

Heat can cause sleep disturbances, weakness and a deterioration in well‑being. Children, elderly people and residents with chronic illnesses should be especially careful.
