In Kharkiv, a man with a knife attacked servicemen at a territorial recruitment center: one killed

In Kharkiv, during notification activities for those liable for military service, a man with a knife attacked servicemen of the district Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. One of them was killed, another was hospitalized.

This was reported on June 26, 2026, by the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

According to the agency, the senior member of the notification group identified himself to a citizen, after which the man suddenly attacked him and other servicemen, inflicting knife wounds.

As a result of the attack, two servicemen received stab wounds. One of them underwent surgery and is currently in hospital.

The second serviceman died of his wounds.

After the attack, the man fled the scene. He is currently being sought by law enforcement.

The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
