Businesses in Korablenyi were checked for compliance with the language law: two violations were found
A total of 26 objects were inspected by specialists
From June 1 to 5, 2026 specialists from the Department of Trade Coordination and Entrepreneurship of the Administration of the Korabelnyi District of the Mykolaiv City Council conducted inspection raids of trade and service facilities to check compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language”.
The purpose of the inspections was to determine whether business entities comply with the legislative requirements regarding the use of the state language when serving consumers and presenting information.
In total, 26 facilities were inspected in the territory of the Korabelnyi District.
During the raids, specialists found 2 violations and issued 2 warnings. Another 2 establishments were not conducting business activity at the time of inspection.
In addition to inspections, explanatory talks were held with entrepreneurs. They were reminded that, according to current legislation, outdoor advertising, announcements, indicators, signboards and other publicly displayed textual, visual or audio information about goods and services must be provided in the state language.
Business entities were also informed that the language of consumer service in Ukraine is Ukrainian and were warned about possible administrative liability in case of violation of the Law’s requirements.
The district administration reminded that, in accordance with Article 57 of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language”, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language may issue a warning or apply fines to a business entity.
Moreover, according to Article 188-52 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, for a first offense a warning or a fine of 3,400 to 8,500 hryvnias is provided, and for a repeat within a year — from 8,500 to 11,900 hryvnias.
