The director of the Mykolaiv Oblast Employment Center, Dmytro Oboronko, in his declaration for 2025 listed a newer family car — a Lexus ES 250, 2019 model year. The vehicle’s value in the document is stated at 1.2 million hryvnias. This is evidenced by the data of the declaration submitted to the NAZK registry for 2025.

The car was purchased in February 2025. The vehicle’s owner is listed as the official’s wife, Mariia Davydova, but the declaration notes that Dmytro Oboronko also uses it. In the previous declaration the family listed a different Lexus — a Lexus IS250, 2015 model year. Judging from the declaration data, that car was sold, as it no longer appears in the 2025 report.

At his main job at the Mykolaiv Oblast Employment Center, Dmytro Oboronko received 889,585 hryvnias in salary in 2025. That is 180,036 hryvnias more than a year earlier, when his earnings at his main job were about 709,500 hryvnias. On average, the director’s salary at the employment center in 2025 amounted to roughly 74,100 hryvnias per month. For comparison, in 2024 that figure was about 59,100 hryvnias per month.

In addition to his main salary, Dmytro Oboronko also declared 69,172 hryvnias in income from secondary employment. This refers to his work as an associate professor in the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Mathematical Modeling at the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University.

The official’s wife, Mariia Davydova, declared 221,178 hryvnias in salary for 2025 from the Mykolaiv Regional Organization of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine. Her income also includes 415,000 hryvnias from the sale of a car.

In the real estate section, Dmytro Oboronko listed a residential house of 230.2 m² registered to Klavdiia Oboronko. The declaration also includes the wife’s apartment of 45 m² and four land plots with a total area of more than 19 hectares owned by the couple.

A separate point of interest is the change in the official’s cash assets. While in the 2024 declaration Dmytro Oboronko reported 850,000 hryvnias in cash, in the 2025 declaration that amount is 200,000 hryvnias. In other words, the declared cash savings decreased by 650,000 hryvnias.

Formally, the declaration explains part of the family’s financial movements: it shows income from the sale of the previous car, salaries, and a reduction in cash holdings. At the same time, the purchase of a car for 1.2 million hryvnias by the head of an institution responsible for employment in a frontline region naturally attracts public interest.

Especially against the backdrop that for many residents of Mykolaiv region the issues of employment, stable pay and survival during the war remain daily challenges.
