Warehouse, straw and rubbish: emergency responders in Mykolaiv region had a busy day
400 square meters of flames: warehouse ablaze in Mykolaiv
On May 5, 2026, rescuers extinguished 9 fires in the Mykolaiv region. This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional State Emergency Service.
The largest by area was a fire in a warehouse in the Zavodskyi District of Mykolaiv. The fire was extinguished over an area of 400 sq. m.
In the settlement of Zasillya of the Zavodska territorial community in Mykolaiv district, firefighters extinguished a fire in baled straw on the premises of a private household. The fire covered 100 sq. m.
Another fire occurred in the city of Novyi Buh. An outbuilding was burning there. Thanks to the actions of the rescuers, they prevented the flames from spreading to a residential building.
In other cases across the region, reeds, trees and rubbish burned. The causes of all the fires are currently being established.
