Ran a red light: a VAZ driver was fined in Mykolaiv
A violation was recorded on a busy section of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue; a ruling was issued under Part 2 of Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses
Today at 16:00 the Patrol Police of Mykolaiv Oblast released a video of a traffic violation on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue near the intercity bus station in Mykolaiv: the driver of a VAZ drove through a prohibitory traffic signal and was issued an order under Part 2 of Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
The footage from the scene shows the driver ignoring the prohibitory signal on a busy stretch of road with heavy traffic and a high likelihood of dangerous situations. Such actions, police emphasize, can lead to serious consequences for all road users.
Based on the established fact, the inspectors issued an administrative order under Part 2 of Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which provides liability for passing a prohibitory traffic light signal.
The police emphasize: driving through a red or yellow signal is an absolute prohibition that applies at all times, regardless of the time of day, weather conditions, or road congestion.
