At consumers’ expense: Mykolaivoblteploenerho replaced 79 heat meters
All 264 units scheduled for inspection have been installed and sealed
OKP “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” has completed the replacement of 79 commercial heat meters in residential buildings—the entire amount planned for the 2026–2027 interheating season. Specialists have also calibrated 264 meters and installed 27 remote data transmission modems.
Every year during the interheating season, the utility replaces, repairs, and modernizes commercial heat meters and carries out their metrological calibration. This work is funded by the consumer fee for subscription services, as stipulated in individual heat supply contracts.
For 2026, the next metrological calibration was scheduled for 264 meters. They have all now been calibrated, installed, and sealed. The program to replace 79 meters covered residential buildings with individual contracts. It has also been fully completed.
In addition to calibrating and replacing the meters themselves, the following work was carried out as part of routine maintenance:
- valves were replaced in 43 residential buildings;
- sealing materials were replaced in 81 residential buildings;
- filters were cleaned in 4 residential buildings;
- power elements were replaced in 14 residential buildings;
- preventive maintenance was carried out in 18 residential buildings.
A separate modernization initiative involves installing GSM modems on the meters. These automatically transmit meter readings via the mobile network to the utility’s server.
During the 2026–2027 interheating season, 27 such modems have already been installed. In total, 406 of “Mykolaivoblteploenergo”’s commercial heat meters are equipped with remote data transmission devices. Modernization of the metering systems is ongoing.
