Russia struck Roshen in Vinnytsia — workers were evacuated in time
The corporation denies producing drones and calls for an investigation into the attack
A Russian attack struck the production complex of confectionery corporation Roshen in Vinnytsia. No employees were killed: they were alerted to the danger in time and promptly evacuated.
The corporation insists that the Russian strike must be investigated and that those responsible for carrying it out must face an appropriate legal assessment.
Roshen also responded to claims spread by Russian propaganda after the attack. They allege that drones are being manufactured at the company’s production sites.
The corporation categorically rejected these claims and stressed that its facilities produce confectionery products exclusively. Neither drones nor any other military-purpose items are manufactured at its factories.
The production complex in Vinnytsia is a civilian facility. According to the corporation, false claims that it is supposedly used for military purposes do not change its status or justify the attack.
Roshen representatives also highlighted the threat posed by attacks on the food industry. In addition to endangering employees’ lives, such strikes can lead to:
- the destruction of production facilities;
- job losses;
- disruptions to product supplies.
