Five fires in one day: grass, bushes, and rubbish burned in Mykolaiv region — Emergency Service report
Local firefighters and equipment belonging to private businesses assisted the rescuers
Over the course of October 8, 2026, units of the Mykolaiv Region State Emergency Service extinguished 5 fires involving dry grass, bushes, and rubbish. All the fires broke out in open areas.
The fires were put out in the following communities and cities:
- Kobleve Territorial Community — Mykolaiv District;
- Chornomorsk Territorial Community — Mykolaiv District;
- Kryve Ozero Territorial Community — Pervomaisk District;
- the city of Novyi Buh;
- the city of Nova Odesa.
Firefighters from local fire brigades assisted in extinguishing some of the fires. Equipment provided by private businesses was also deployed.
The causes of the fires are being investigated.
