An injured man was found near the railway tracks in Mykolaiv Oblast — he died
The incident occurred at Bandurka station in the Myhiivka community
At Bandurka railway station in the Myhiia community of Mykolaiv Oblast, an injured 69-year-old local resident was found near the tracks. The Pervomaisk District Police Department received a report about him on the evening of October 7. The man died from his injuries.
The scene was examined by an investigative team from the district police department and a forensic specialist. A forensic medical examiner found injuries on the deceased that, by their nature, could have been caused by a train collision. The exact cause of death has not yet been established: investigators have sent the body for a forensic examination.
Investigators classified the incident under Part 3 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of railway, water or air transport safety or operating rules. The article carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
Police are establishing the circumstances and causes of the incident, as well as determining the trains’ routes.
