61 cases of domestic violence confirmed in one of Mykolaiv’s districts

In Mykolaiv’s Zavodskyi district, investigations into reports over the first nine months of 2026 confirmed 61 cases of domestic violence. One of these cases involved gender-based violence.

During this period, the Administration of Zavodskyi District of the Mykolaiv City Council received a total of 123 reports of violence in families. All families named in the reports were visited. The work was carried out jointly by:

• specialists from the district administration’s Department of Socio-Economic Development and Entrepreneurship;
• representatives of the Mykolaiv City Center for Social Services;
• police officers.

The visits documented the following types of violence:

• psychological — in 61 families;
• physical — in 30 families;
• economic — in 8 families;
• sexual — in one family.

The victims were advised on how to stay safe at home. They were also given information about accessing free legal aid, psychological support, and consultations with medical professionals.

Anyone experiencing abuse, facing physical danger, or having their rights violated should contact the police at 102 or 112.
